A SteamID, public profile URL and trade-offer URL do not provide account control. A trade URL lets another account create an offer; it does not let that account accept for you. You can regenerate the URL from Steam if it was posted publicly or sent to the wrong party.

Passwords, Steam Guard codes, QR login approvals, session cookies and API keys are different. They can authorize account actions and should never be supplied to a leveling provider. A request for any of them ends the transaction.

What protection should a provider offer?

Look for visible support, refund or dispute handling, stock reservation, and an operator who can be contacted when automation fails.
